Sampson Family Endowed Chair in Thoracic Surgical OncologyUniversity of Pittsburgh Medical Center |
I am involved in helping to raise funds for research for esophageal and lung cancer. My surgeon, Dr. James Luketich, is heading this project at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC). The research project is funded via an endowment being given by a very grateful patient of Dr. Luketich. It provides one for one matching funds of up to $1,500,000. The endowment is a self-perpetuating trust fund and ALL monies raised go directly to research. To me, this is such a worthwhile project, and I am happy to be a part of the fund raising effort. Every little bit helps towards reaching the goal and any amount you care to donate is very appreciated. Those of you who are interested may contact me. I will send you complete information so you can make an informed decision.
